The Cook's Almanac is an informational reference site. It does not offer user accounts, logins or payments.

I use Vercel Web Analytics to understand general traffic, such as which pages are visited and rough visitor numbers. This analytics is privacy-friendly: it does not use cookies, does not track individuals across other websites, and does not build advertising profiles. The site still does not show ads, does not sell data, and has no user accounts or logins.

Cookies

I do not use advertising or tracking cookies. My analytics (Vercel Web Analytics) is cookieless — it does not store identifiers in your browser.

This site does not set cookies from its own code. There are no essential cookies: nothing here requires a cookie to work. I do not embed third-party content that would set cookies on your device.

A standard web server may also record when you visit a page — for example, your IP address, browser type and the time of the request.

That server information is used only to operate and secure the site. It is not sold or shared for marketing.

If you email me, I use your message and email address only to respond. I do not add you to a mailing list unless you ask me to.
